The front of the cover snaps into the front lip of the gutter while the rear edge has a vinyl flap that fits snugly under the roofing shingle.

Each section is secured to the next section and the ends are secured to the gutter itself so there are no gaps or holes for birds or animals to enter. In addition, the front edge is secured to the top front lip of the gutter every 24" with 1/4" zip screws to ensure that the covers will never become dislodged by the strong forces of nature.
